These are the recipes I use every day . . . not just my own, but also my favorites from family, friends, and other sources. It is a continual work in progress as I fine-tune recipes, add photos, and try new things. Please leave your comments so that I can learn from you too!

Salisbury Steaks

2 lb. ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1/2 tblsp. minced garlic

Combine and shape into 8 patties.  Cook over medium heat until browned, turning occasionally, about 10 minutes.  Drain on paper towels.

1/2 large onion, sliced
2 (10 oz.) cans condensed beef broth
2 (4 oz.) cans mushroom stems/pieces, drained (optional)

Add above ingredients and heat to boiling.  Reduce heat, cover and simmer until beef is done, about 10 minutes.  Remove patties and keep warm.  Heat onion mixture to boiling.

4 tblsp. cold water
4 tsp. cornstarch

Stir above into onion mixture.  Boil and stir 1 minute.  Serve over patties.

Serves 8
